As the name suggests the cistern dam acts as a dam which holds back cistern water from the dump outlet thus reducing the water used by each flush of the toilet.
Q: How is the Cistern Dam different from a standard WC displacement device?
A. A normal displacement device displaces a set amount of water within the cistern and is not adjustable. With the cistern dam you can move the dam backwards and forwards within the cistern increasing or reducing the amount of water used by each flush enabling you to fine tune your flush so the minimum amount of water is used to flush soil away without the risk of blockages whilst at the same time saving you money with every flush
